Portmanteau of "voluntary celibate". A man who, for whatever reason, chooses to abstain from sex. Often, but not always, it's because his self-respect would be destroyed if he were to settle for the poor quality of women available to him. (Fat, high notch count, post-wall, etc.) There is a large overlap between volcel and MGTOW but the two are not mutually inclusive. Cf. "incel".
