A version of capitalism based on telling people what to buy and how to live in order to force them to behave in ways that solves climate change. Often involves establishing rules around what people 'can do' and therefore what they 'cannot do'. The concept was designed in Australia as an alternative to 'cannot-do' capitalism, where people were empowered to make their own choices as there were no rules proscribing what they could not do. Also related to laissez faire economics.
