A very specific kind of not-being-trendy: usually refers to things a person wore in their pre-teen or teen years, and is considered out of style and kind of lame. It has shifted to describe the kind of fashion that was present in the early 2010's: apparently skinny jeans scarred an entire generation of kids, because no one wants to be caught dead wearing them now. It also apparently refers to the zillennials/millennials and their weird fashion sense, with their stupid clothes that date back to 8-10 years ago. Also thrifting is more popular than ever, so that is another reason why cheugy outfits seem to be everywhere.
