Beyond Awesome Outstanding to the highest degree ON ASU campus Oliver, our Great Dane routinely cheers up students. Its amazing how quickly people get upbeat and happy when interacting with Oliver. Most common questions are how much does he weigh & what color is he? Oliver has soft green eyes, big floppy ears long tail not the scary clipped pointy ears no tail look. why do humans do that? Oliver is a Blue Dane his mom was Fawn. As he grew older a bit of fawn came out. His coat is a subtle blend of blue & fawn. One morning surrounded by students getting and giving love from Oliver a tiny little girl with Down Syndrome had her arms around Oliver's neck. A new kid joined and said wow what is he? The little girl had obviously been listening, hugged Oliver's neck tighter and said he is Bawn & I love him. The group started laughing and smiling and chorused "he IS bawn!! I often heard students bring their friends to meet Oliver & say this is Oliver he's BAWN. One morning I was sitting at a coffee shop near campus a couple students sitting nearby one says, my mom sent me this computer, the other exclaimed "wow man that is totally BAWN!" It dawned on me that all those times I heard students say to their friends "this is Oliver he is Bawn" they weren't talking about his color. I remembered that tiny little girl and thought wow! she is brilliant. Oliver was laying at my feet we looked at each other and I said "Oliver look what you started... this is turning out to be a BAWN day!"
