Originally derived from Zollverein which was a term used centuries ago which has absolutely nothing to do with this word in 21st century. It should be pronounced with a strong German accent like "Zh-o-ll-va-ri-n". It can be used as a long and shady alternative to the famous alphabet 'E' or simply a response to almost everything and anything, the best way to start a conversation. If said physically, the person can make a shrug posture.
