The author is ONE, the same person that made One punch man. The main characters can be compared just because they're extremely powerful. Our protagonist is a sweet middleschooler that everyone calls Mob. Mob is a psychic, a very powerful one. He has almost perfect control over his powers, but he doesn't really know how far they can go. But despite how powerful he is, there are other things he has to deal with, like his social skills and the fact that due to his unpredictable power, he hids and bottle up his emotions, until he can't anymore and he arrives at 100% and... Well, I'll let you find for yourself what happens. But he has an extremely resilience, so when he explodes, someone really fucked shit up. This is a coming of age story, Mob will grow and so will all the other characters with him. Except his parents apparently, they're not bad they're just there. Mob's Reigen is also another character that changes during the plot, even tho maybe he starts a little too unmovable (and for someone even unlikeable) You'll see sweet slice of life episodes as well as amazing fight sequences (those are really good despite not being the center of the story) and even heavy moments. The magic of mob psycho is that it takes something like psychic superpowers and similar things and puts a realistic look at it; it takes the importance of someone potential, the importance of kindness, of your emotiond and the relationship with other people. But I guess you can find out yourself
