Correct (or rather more appropriate) spelling of "rent" that has the traditional meaning: to tear apart, split, or divide. The addition of the "w" then clearly defines the word's meaning as distinctly different from "rent" that means to purchase use of a property or portion thereof for a period of time. Furthermore, the added "w" brings an alliance to "wring" and "wrought", words that convey the emotional aspect of "wrent", where "rent" fails in that respect.
