Gloom - Noun (Computer Gaming) Gloom is a teambased, non-CTF modification to the Quake2 game engine. It pits Aliens vs. Humans in the all too familiar battle for racial superiority. Only a few servers still exist but the community is tightly knit and the people who still play it are mostly seasoned veterans with high levels of skill. The objective is to destroy the opposite team's "spawns", rendering them unable to continue the game. Some Gloom maps have different objectives to spice things up, such as preventing the other team from escaping on a shuttle or escape pod. Quite a fun game. If you're interested, do a google search for Gloom Q2, since UD.com doesn't allow links.
