Islandman: A Caucasian male, usually 20 to 35, sometimes doubling as a Trustafarian, who inhabits various Caribbean islands, especially St. John, USVI. Usually recently arrived, they sport tanned skin, a relaxed attitude, claim to know everything about the island they inhabit, have little real knowledge about said island or its people, dress intentionally down, smoke excessive amounts of marijuana, and are generally parasitic in nature. If they work, most often this is as some type of "guide", charter boat hand, or possibly "bartender" who can open a beer, or mix a rum and coke, but beyond two ingredients is useless. They usually don't hold jobs very long and expect great tips.
