Acronym for “Not a Meme, But a Meme.”Used to denote a social media share of content that was not created as a meme but where sharer seeks to recast it as a meme. NAMBAM labeling is often used when the sharer considers the original meaning to be unintentionally ironic or absurd. NAMBAM labeling is most useful when posting to pages or threads that are designated for memes only to discourage scolding from pedantic weirdos.
