A statement made by someone who wants to avoid an argument or has no intent of engaging on an issue, because they know fine damn well they've screwed up and they'd definitely be on the losing end of things. Often taken up by egomaniac head coaches who just lost a game they should have had sewn up (e.g. Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, Bill Belichick etc - Jerry Glanville for the teenagers) or someone in management fond of punching down who just fucked over an employee. Again.
