Jackablade is a fictional term used to refer to some of the criminal element within the Thief universe. Is it unbeknown whether or not that it is used to refer to a certain type of criminal e.g. a cutpurse or a mugger but the crime of being a jackablade (or jackblade) is incarceration, flogging and forced labour for an indeterminate amount of time by The Order of the Hammer. In Thief: The Dark Project and Thief Gold, two jackablades were sent to kill Garrett by the City Warden (Crime Lord) and two more are found incarcerated in Cragscleft Prison for their crimes.
