• Less invasive but equally annoying cousin of the standard tailgater, more commonly encountered at night, usually driving a newer vehicle with "angry eyebrow anime eye" type headlights; LED of course. • Passive-aggressively invades your AO (area of operation) on a mostly empty highway/freeway by driving directly behind you at a distance which doesn't qualify as tailgating but is uncomfortably suspect given the 4+ other lane options, and peevish--especially because the trailgater will keep and maintain their position for oddly long periods of time. • Confirmation of a trailgater includes slowing down significantly >10mph and failing to instigate a lane change by the trailgater. • Trailgaters are also known as "PilotFishGaters" and "WTFyouPsycho". • Commonly found along the 128/95 in Massachusetts.
