Two Roman's making quick work of a combatant using a short sword. The Roman's liked the hispanic design of swords so much that they adopted it and increased on the design. Bracketing or Bridging an opponent using two gladius swords was very successful. The roman gladius was used mainly for stabbing, as their short profile allowed them to glide quickly through the air and penetrate through armor.
