A predominantly white town 30-miles north of Boston and is pronounced "Bill-rica", "Bricka", or "The Ric". Here people's accents are thicker than their women. A big portion of their population still "rips butts" (i.e. smokes cigarettes) while most houses have abandoned cars rotting away on cinder blocks in their front-yards. The town is known for its townies. It is common for teachers to have had parents, their kids, and their grandkids during their career (affirmation of "townies" and young reproductive age). There is a 7-Eleven convenience store next to a firestation that literally burnt to the ground. A popular watering hole is the Center Cafe (pronounced by locals as "Center-Calf"). I once witnessed a person asleep at the bar, woke himself up by puking on himself, and proceeded to order another drink. There are probably more Dunkin Donuts and Market Baskets in Billerica than college graduates.
