one of the greatest free kick takers of all time, born on 29.november 1969 in steenbergen, holland. pierre van hooijdonk has been playing for many clubs like RBC Roosendaal, NAC Breda, Celtic, Nottingham Forest, Vitesse Arnhem, Benfica, Feyenoord, Fenerbahce and now he's again playing for nac breda. almost every season he scored over 20 goals. he is a born striker with good positioning. he also scored 12 times for the dutch national team in 40 appearances!! with feyenoord, his club from childhood, he won uefa cup in 2002, scorin twice in final against borussia, of course once from the free kick. at his time at feyenoord he scored 56 league goals in 61 league appearances. over two seasons, he scored more than 25 free kicks so he can be definetely named as one of the greatest free kick specialists. his also strong in headers because of his size and power. in dutch there has been released a song for him called : "put your hands up for pi-air", pi-air is his nickname. so... veteran, but still the best free kick taker with a lot of fans.
