Vhs damage, or know as generation loss. Is when the VHS tape starts to get all funky with color and audio starts to warp and muffle. HI-FI buzzing is also common in really bad damage. This is mostly caused by watching over and over again or magnetic damage. The way to avoid damage to all of your precious memories on VHS is to find them and get them converted to digital.
