A surname originating from Southern Spain. The Oropezas from San Francisco and Los Angeles all come from a small town in Los Altos Jalisco named El Valle de Guadalupe. A popular mariachi song, “El Corrido de los Perez,” was written about them. They also, collectively, own the largest ranch in Jalisco. They are good, hard-working, respectful people from the country.
