The use of photos or videos for education; education through taking and sharing photos or videos. Verb form: photocate-to take photos or videos for education purposes. Adjective form: photocational-describes something that produces educational value as a photo/video or possessing properties of a photo/video thereof. This word was coined by a group of surgeons. A picture is worth more than 1000 words, and this is particularly relevant to demonstrating complex techniques and steps in surgery, where a simple description cannot capture all of the nuances. Specifically, this word was coined by a group of orthopedic foot and ankle surgeons, who wouldn't mind the word used and spelled as "fotocation" (verb: fotocate, adjective: fotocational) as well.
