Feminism (noun) The advocacy of women’s rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes. Feminism at its core is about equality of women and men. Critics argue that equality is not possible because women and men are not the “same." However, feminism advocates equal rights and equal access to opportunities. Women and men do not have to be the “same” to have the right to equality.
