The duties of the Jackwarden are similar to those performed by a modern prison warden, with some notable exceptions. The Jackwarden is a mythical being who works between the worlds of the living and the dead to ensure that karmic debts are paid in full during the time one serves on planet Earth. It is the duty of the Jackwarden, therefore, to hold humans accountable for their actions from one life to the next, and to perform debt transfers, when necessary so that total karmic balance is achieved, if at all possible, before moving to the next life. The Jackwarden and the Fates work closely together. They will make you deal with your shit.
