An effect where the quality of a group or community deteriorates the longer you stay a part of it. You think a community is awesome and flawless when you first join it, but as you stay longer and learn about it's wrongdoings, you begin to understand how flawed the server is. This will happen until you either accept the group for what it is, or leave it in disgust.
