A designated time (usually 11pm) in what district or neighborhood you are in LA country where the people collectively scream for a few seconds to relieve stress, promote solidarity, and humor. Also invented to annoy transplants to the city. It shares its roots in the College/University “scream nights”, which is the first night before finals week where all dorm students collectively scream into the void.
