A name of an old town in northern Ethiopia, its name was originated from the Arabic word "Ruhan" which means spiritual. Roha was a seat for the Zagwe dynasty between 920 -1270 AD. Roha is now called Lalibela, known for its famous elven rock-hewn churches carved out from one solid rock.
