1) Farewell word of Spanish origin, diminutive of chao. 2) Pitiful attempt to say goodbye in a cool way that ends any chance of being ever seen as cool. 3) The least manly way of saying goodbye. 4) It is used by: 4.1Your aunt that you only see once every couple of years when they're visiting and your parents force you to go out with your weird cousins that you don't really like, but it's either that or stay home and keep pretending to be more polite than you really are. 4.2) That person (probably a neighbor, someone who knows your parents, or the parent of an old classmate who wasn't even a friend of yours) who you barely know but who always catches you in awkward conversations on the street when you pass each other. 4.3) A very poorly written gay character. 4.4) Someone that uses it every chance they get because she/he knows you don't like it and it has become an internal joke.
