James Patrick March is a character on the TV show "American Horror Story" in season 5- "Hotel". March, based loosely on the real American serial killer H.H.Holmes, is the original owner of the Hotel Cortez, an accommodation designed specifically to tend to his psychopathic needs, fit with secret passages, gas taps and much more, which allowed him to begin the "Ten Commandments Killings" later finished by Detective John Lowe. James has a handsome appearance- with neat dark brown hair and eyes which are described as "piercing" and a thin, pencil moustache. He has also sported the nickname "Jimmy" once by the countess, a previous love interest of his. Annually, March also holds a hotel event by the name "Devil's night" which groups together some of the most famous serial killers in American history- such as John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer. During this dinner party, the guests drink to their "libation" - absinthe, and are offered the life of a victim as "dessert".
