A place that seemingly everybody wants to get away from; The opposite of a tourist magnet. The Dreadnoughts, a Canadian folk-punk band, have referenced Shiloh Town in several songs on their album 'Into the North'. It's almost always described as a lower-class village on the Mississippi River, inhabited by "river rats, junkers, and sailors". Since then, the term has come to define any place where you'd rather not be.
