A subspace of the mind created to deal with trauma. Going into kittenspace is an escape from trauma. In kittenspace, a person takes on the personality of a kitten and no longer has complicated thoughts. Many kittens are subs in a dom/sub relationship. Kittens should be treated with love and affection. Note: a person can't go into kittenspace unless they feel safe. It is also something you have to coax them into gradually. Getting into kittenspace is not like a on/off switch. In kittenspace, the person can't access traumatic memories and wants lots of love and comfort. Kittens can be found sleeping, eating, disobeying their caretaker, being punished, and snuggling. Most kittens want a caretaker. This is because a good caretaker can help to keep them in kittenspace and make them feel safe. Kittenspace is not the same as being a furry. It is a subspace of the mind in which trauma cannot be accessed. It is also a form of BDSM.
