A BOOMERang is typically someone who keeps returning to a debate in order to have the “last word” in order to generate the verisimilitude of being the winner of the debate. This applies to anyone who already said “bye” in the debate but keeps coming back. This form of behavior is common amongst those suffering from Dunning-Krueger effect. Note: this sort of behavior was first spotted amongst the members of the boomer generation, however it is in no way exclusive to them and younger generations are just as easily susceptible to this type of behavior. This is in no way derogatory of age or a form of age based discrimination.
