A fat cake or fried bread.Dough that is deep fried into a beautiful golden brown colour. It is some sort of a Xhosa doughnut without the icing on top.It's more savoury and can be had on it's own alternatively stuffed with a variety of meats.The traditional stuffing is polony, thou it can be stuffed with fancier meats like curried mince. Amagwinya became a popular bread to make during our South African lockdown period.
