Pneumatic meaning containing or operated by air, globo meaning ballon, and phobia meaning fear. It is referred to as a fear of big balloons, mostly known as inflatable decorations like the ones for Halloween or Christmas. Sometimes these inflatables are seen on people's property for many other holidays or special occasions. It's not clear what causes a person to fear these objects, but what is known is that they cause some sort of discomfort and/or anxiety due to their size, noise (due to the air compressor), or their presence. Not many people have this fear, nor is it that heard of to begin with. Most people have a fear of your regular, plastic balloons, but some others have a fear of inflatables.
