Yurd is a slang word that shortened the phrase ‘ya heard’. - Sometimes when the word yurd is verbally said it sounds like ‘yerr’ - Yurd/ya heard are phrases used to say “did you hear me”/“do you understand” - Yurd is most typically used in situations where someone is talking to someone else from a distance, where hearing isn’t too well, and as they yell they say a sentence, then yell ‘yurd’ even louder at the end - Yurd can be considered confirmation that a person was heard clearly.
