Replacement for “human”. In today’s enlightened society, having the word “man” in “hu-man” is a inexcusable slap in the face for non binary or feminine identifiers, including those in monogamous or polygamous non-gender specific homogenous relationships. Therefore, “man” is replaced with “x” in order to foster respect for progressive identifiers and to take down the historical oppressive patriarchal heteronormative pressures on those living today who are seeking to break the boundaries of traditional frameworks in order to find a higher sense of individuality free from rules, categories, and other freedom-inhibiting stereotypes of race, gender, and sexuality.
