The way that you choose to identify yourself, usually as a male or female. For some reason, people keep confusing it with sex, which is determined by your genitalia at birth. There are some people who feel like they do not feel as if they fit under the two binary genders, known as male and female. These people are called non-binary. People who’s gender and sex are the same are known as cisgender. People who don’t are known as transgender or non-binary.
