You know that feeling when someone comes into your life and shakes everything up? That feeling is called nothing other than Andy. After you’ve known him for a while you can’t remember what life was like before. You wonder what on earth you used to think about every waking moment of the day before he came along. Andy's someone you always want to be close to. When you get your morning lift to work together, you secretly hope there’ll be a full carload of people so that you can sit next to him. Then when you’re sitting next to Andy, it’s hard to concentrate. You try to keep making conversation and act like it’s a regular chat with just anyone, but really your mind is somewhere else completely. You find yourself hoping for a tight bend or a sudden swerve just for that second or two of accidental body contact. You can spend a full day with Andy and the evening too, but five minutes after saying goodbye you think of something else that you want to tell him. When you start a conversation with him, you never want it to stop. He has a way of talking and listening and laughing that makes you want the conversation to go on forever. When it’s Andy’s birthday, you want to give him a present or bake him a cake or just spend five minutes with him to make him smile. But you can’t. So you settle for a silly gesture instead, like posting something on the internet that’s just for him and only he’ll know who wrote it and why.
