Jonaklit is a one word description of a short-duration phenomenon. A place lit beautifully by thousands of flickering lights emanating from fireflies or lightning bugs. It usually happens during a twilight near marshy areas. Appearance of colors varies from mostly yellow, green, pale red, and a little hint of bluish here and there. It is more frequently visible in temperate or tropical climates. Jonaklit is a combination of two words. 1st word - JONAK is an abbreviation of a proper word JONAKI derived from Bangla or Bengali language, meaning fireflies or lightning bugs. 2nd word - LIT (abbreviation of light, self explanatory).
