A Batman zone is the space taken up by a playable character in a video game. Batman zone typically means that the character takes up 1/3 of the screen so that only 2/3 are actually visible to the player. Batman zone was invented in the video "Bad graphics" by Videogamedunkey. The name comes from Rocksteady's Batman Arkham games when Batman is walking around and not in combat. Games that fit this description are the Batman Arkham games, Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice and God of War (2018). Some games have it worse than others
