A term used to refer to any very small, yet aggressive creature that does not deal much damage on its own with a single attack, but wears its target down by attrition. Examples include vicious chihuahuas, rabid rodents, angry toddlers or honey badgers. Though usually not much of a threat on their own, a pack or a swarm of anklebiters can be deadly.
