Feminism Feminism is a movement that originally started in the 19th and early 20th century that advocated for women's rights. Now, true feminism is more commonly recognised as the advocacy for equal rights of the sexes: for both men and women. Unfortunately some so-called "radical feminists" have corrupted the world-view of what feminism really is, taking away the true meaning of what it is to be a feminist, some going so far as to claim that women deserve more rights than men, which is completely against the true essence of the word "feminism".
