I'm not very good at explaining it, but it's a sensory disorder that causes you to go into sort of like a fight or flight mode when you hear certain noises, now these trigger noises vary depending on who it is, and also the spectrum is very large, but the most common triggers are mouth noises. loud chewing, talking with food in your mouth, sniffling, ect. for me, my worst trigger is all of it. my brothers laughing, chewing of any sort, sniffling, tapping, or even once I'm triggered literally anything and everything will drive me insane. the worst part about having Mysophonia is that little to no one takes it seriously, I'll tell my friends to stop talking with their mouths full and they do it luder and laugh. no matter how much they see how it effects me, they can't bring themselves to understand that it's so real.
