(adj., n., rare) A delusional, idealistic self-ascription only ironically suited to its referent (i.e., aging, undersocialized, oversmart, naive diagnosis-hunters). A form of Sartre's bad faith. 3. (n., rare) A hopeful but doomed curmudgeon.
