A fake goth. Essentially, a visigoth is somebody who may be into gothic fashion, dark literature/music or are darkly-inclined in general, but don't typically associate themselves with the goth subculture... However they go around calling themselves a goth. They don't like or care for the music of the goth scene, and say that because they have the 'goth mindset', or wear dark makeup and have a spooky wardrobe, it doesn't matter whether or not they're into the music. They're still a 'goth', according to them. You are not a goth if you don't like the music. There is a difference between being darkly-inclined, and being a member of the goth subculture. It's like saying you're a metalhead even though you don't listen to metal, but because you have the clothes and the 'metal mindset', that's all that matters. Hate to break it to you, but it just doesn't work that way.
