Relating to Japan, it’s culture, or it’s people. (You don’t need to read this if you don’t want to.) As a Japanese person I feel very offended or upset when people only think of Japan, or anywhere in Asia, as a place where cute things reside. Yes we have anime and “kawaii (可愛い)” things, but that’s only two things out of many things that make us special. (Of course you can like anime.) Every culture is very unique and important. They have many different things that are interesting. Such as history. Japan has done some bad things yes, but so has every culture. And you shouldn’t hold that against them. I get very happy when people want to know more about Japan and Taiwan because it shows me that they are very interested in my culture. And to those of you who do, thank you very much, I appreciate it very much. どうもありがとうございました This is just something I want to get off my chest, and I’m terribly sorry if I’ve offended anyone.
