Reach is a "hack" for Minecraft that modifies the client-side range of the player. Usually, your client-side reach is 3 blocks, but it can be increased up to 6 blocks. Why? (TeChNiCaL tAlK tImE!!!) Well, the server you are connected to treats everyone with a reach of 6 blocks, it's the CLIENT that restricts your reach to 3 blocks. However, client-side reach doesn't restrict the 6 block server-side reach when breaking blocks, which means you can break blocks that are 6 blocks away. The client-side reach only affects click on entities (Other players, mobs, etc.). Since players that use this "hack" give themselves an unfair advantage towards legit players, reach hacks are bannable on almost all Minecraft servers.
