A broad category to describe electronic music suitable for dancing including but not limited to house, trance, techno, drum and bass and any respective subgenres located therein. 2. Shorthand used by dance music noobs that don't want to accidentally trigger a dance music fandom with an incorrect assumption of a track's genre. 3. Generic term used to dumb down dance music when talking with someone that calls it doof doof or wubwub.
