The field of study into the benefits of playful, sometimes silly and lively movement or activity. There seems to be some taboo among adults with the word 'Play', they see it as the domain of children. Research into the affects of play on an adults brain, body and mind when they are in a state of play are uncovering that playfulness can be a precursor to peak performance and moments of "Flow". The team at Blue Chip Minds coined the term to better describe the research they were uncovering and conducting into the science of play.
