Internationally-known French film maker, photographer and visual artist. She was born in 1928 in Belgium and died in Paris at the age of 90 earlier this year. She wrote, filmed, directed and edited numerous fiction films, documentaries and short films (La Pointe Courte, Cléo from 5 to 7, Vagabond, The Gleaners and I, Faces Places), which lead her to win several prizes and awards : César, Oscar, Palme d'Or... She was the wife of the famous French film director Jacques Demy.
