Often touted by its proud citizens as a "developed developing country." Indeed, perhaps the most developed country in Southeast Asia (if you discount a certain city-state...) Yet in reality, Malaysia is no more than the angry, ugly, poor sister who mistakenly kicked out Singapore in the 1960s -- understandably so, given all the tools there (then and NOW). But alas, things were not meant to be... (Great food though!)
