Iconator.com was the biggest website during the early 2000s for children, preteens, teens, adults, and your ultra-hip grandparents who needed icons for their AOL instant messenger, commonly referred to as AIM. The most popular use of this site was for AIM icons, which were 50x50 pixels and extremely grainy. Iconator.com also provided users with backgrounds for their Myspace, Xanga, and other sites with specific coding requirements in their HTML. Iconator.com was most popular during the EARLY 2000's and served as an outlet for users to create, upload, and post free icons for other users. The "Icon of the Day" was featured and helped circulate and connect the community with one another. A popular use for AIM icons were to display how bad*ss of a 14 year old you were.
