Verb Feeling confused , bewildered, or deeply puzzled, esp in a situation where one is bounced back and forth between lies and truth. To experience feeling smolleted, the causing event must be of a nature that it is a threat to an individual’s sense of reality and self, a deeply felt existential threat. There are few instances in which one can say “i am smolleted,” in the true spirit of the word. A situation that smollets must be one that bewilders individuals more intensely the more they analyze it. Smolletting is similar to an onion in both the layers it requires and the tears it evokes. Smolletting does not result in any discernible emotion, at least not one we have named in the english language, but rather from internal discord and distress of the spirit, mind, and heart.
